The newly turned 23-year old, formerly of Folkestone Invicta, will be familiar with the Nuts & Bolts, rejoining after three seasons away from the club.

“Clark [Woodcock] has untold ability and I’ve known that since his first spell at Ashford United.” Warrilow said.

“He has certainly matured as a footballer during his time away and I cannot wait for him to showcase that at Homelands.

“He gives me great attacking depth next season and can even take up a role in midfield too. If he can channel his superb talent into next season, we’ll have some player on our hands, that’s for sure.” He finished.

Despite not going quite our way at the end of the season, watching a packed Homelands crowd cheer the Nuts & Bolts on during the play-offs made Woodcock realise how much he missed the place.

“It was the play-offs that convinced me to come back. Being a local Ashford boy myself, I wanted to be there helping this club so much and that is what made me desperate to return.” He said.

“I have had three enjoyable seasons since leaving where I’ve gained invaluable footballing experience; I feel I’m more of a complete player all-round.

“So yeah, I’m buzzing to have signed and cannot wait to get started once again. I want promotion with my club.” Woodcock finished.
