ASHFORD UNITED SIGN GARY LOCKYER FROM KENNINGTON

Ashford United is pleased to announce the signing of Gary Lockyer from our neighbours, Kennington.

The 28-year-old striker has been in fine form this season, scoring 18-goals in the SCEFL Premier Division, making him the current top scorer.

Speaking on his move, Lockyer told the Kennington website, “when I spoke to Tommy [Warrilow] about the ambition Ashford United had this season, it ticked the boxes for me.”

“The club’s looking to kick on and get into step-3, and also feels like I’ve got some unfinished business there having played there before when the club reformed in the Kent Invicta.” He added.

The club are delighted to welcome Gary to the club, and he will be available for selection when the Nuts & Bolts take on Sittingbourne at Homelands.
