Ashford United is delighted to announce the introduction of Ashford Ladies and a Disability team to the Nuts & Bolts family.

Our newly affiliated Ashford Ladies side will compete in the London South East Regional Women’s Football League Division 1 [LSWFL] for the 2022/23 campaign.

Meanwhile, our brand new U12’s Disability team will compete in the Kent Disability Football League for 2022/23.

We believe this serves as a positive step in the right direction at Ashford United and our intentions are to strive towards more commitments within our local community, insisted Club Owner Don Crosbie.

“It has always been my intention to make Ashford a centre of excellence for football and fitness for all our promising stars and just as important anyone who wished for a fitter lifestyle.” He said.

“Facilities are everything these days and without the tools – one only succeeds to a certain level and degree. With the great support of our local Ashford Borough Council, we shall soon have two excellent new 3G football pitches to help cater for our fast-growing football hub.

“We have grown with commanding respect from our First team playing for promotion twice in two years, our Thirds achieving back-to-back promotions, our 15’s just missing out on first place and our under 16’s as Kent league champions.

“The success is growing and is infectious but it’s not all about the top team successes as we nurture all abilities to strive for their very best levels of achievement.

“By supporting four levels of standard as in District levels, East Kent Levels, Kent League levels and Isthmian levels everyone has the opportunity of working to the highest possible level for them.

“This now includes the Girls and Ashford United Ladies which we are absolutely thrilled to have fully subscribed and greatly supported.

“Our last element and indeed one of the hardest to achieve is to fully support our disability group proving we are indeed a fully inclusive club.

"The future is certainly looking bright for our club and with Academies at various levels beginning in September this year who knows if the next England superstar is not an Ashfordian.” He finished.

Further to the introduction of these teams, we have also added two new U8’s [ADYL and EKYL], two new U12’s [ADYL and EKYL], one new U14’s [ADYL], one new U16’s [EKYL] and two new U13’s Girls [KGLYL].

Finally, our existing U12’s are splitting into three new U13’s [ADYL, EKYL and KYL] whilst last year’s U13’s Girls are moving back to the KGLFL in their correct age group [U15’s].

Our full list of teams heading into 2022/23 are:
