WE ARE HOME!

The Nuts and Bolts make the long awaited return to The Homelands on Saturday for their Pitching In Isthmian South East fixture against Burgess Hill Town.

196 days have passed since we last played a Home fixture in Ashford, this is of course down to the new pitch being installed - the pitch looks absolutely amazing and credit must go to Don, Derek and everyone involved in such a magnificent playing surface.

Ashford have met The Hillians on 24 previous occasions, the first being in the FA Cup back in the 1994/95 season, Ashford winning 3-2 in front of a crowd of 429, cup fever would of course come to Ashford that season when we played our infamous games against Fulham.

Cup Fever is back in Kent this weekend as 3 of our league rivals, from Kent, are in the First Round Proper of the competition.

Good Luck Ramsgate and Cray Valley PM in the quest for a giant-killing.
Commiserations to Sheppey United, after they went out to Walsall last night, after a dream start.

Ashford have won twelve of our previous meetings with Burgess Hill.
Four draws and eight wins for our visitors, to complete the stats.
The Nuts and Bolts having a good win record at home.

Our last match against the Sussex team was a home 3-2 victory back in January of this year.
Parish, Lockyer and Carvalho scoring for the Nuts and Bolts.
Lewis Finney, and the prolific Dan Perry, scoring for Burgess Hill. Perry has scored in his last 2 games for Hillians.

Burgess Hill sit one place and one point behind their hosts, but have played one more game in the league.
Both teams will be eager to add to their points tally in a push for the play-off positions.

RIP Mark Reed, One of our own!
