PRE-SEASON 2021/22

Ashford United saw out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Kennington FC at the Homelands Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

If you had blinked, you might’ve missed the opening goal as Ter Horst put the Nuts & Bolts ahead after just 10 seconds. He latched on to a defensive error and chipped the keeper from the edge of the 18-yard box.

Kennington then equalised in the 18th minute, but Ashford new boy, Tom Bolawinra, had other ideas. He dribbled his way through smartly before curling an effort into the top corner to make it 2-1.

Ashford then made it three when a trialist smashed a volley into the top corner - an outstanding finish.

Kennington came out for the second-half with a point to prove and snatched two goals in quick succession to level things up.

It ended in a stalemate, but Warrilow will be disappointed his side couldn’t hold on for the win in the end.

Ashford now take on Sheppey United at the Homelands Stadium on Tuesday night, 7:45pm kick-off.
