The Nuts & Bolts suffered at the hands of Cray Valley last week, narrowly losing by a solitary goal at the Artic Stadium.
Ashford will want to bounce back to winning ways as soon as possible as they compete at the top end of the table this season.
LEAGUE FORM:
Ashford United – DWWWL
The Nuts & Bolts were enjoying a great spell in the league before suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Cray Valley last weekend. Despite that, they remain 3rd in the league (7W 2D 2L).
Defeat meant Haywards Heath, who sit second in the table, extended their advantage to 5 points over Ashford. Cray Valley stay top but have played a game more.
Prior to defeat, Warrilow’s men enjoyed a three-win streak over Sevenoaks, Whitstable and Hastings United.
Hythe Town – DLDLW
The Cannons have endured a mixed start to their league campaign and see themselves 10th in the table (W4 D2 L4).
After going four games without a win, Steve Watt’s side got back on track with a 2-1 victory over Faversham Town on Tuesday evening, gearing themselves up perfectly for Saturday’s clash at Homelands.
Hythe will be hoping for a more consistent run of results having brought in a couple of new figures at the club, including Henry Newcombe and Tyler Sterling (on loan from Folkestone).
