MATCH REPORT:
It was all going swimmingly for the Nuts & Bolts when Josh Wisson scored an extraordinary overhead kick to put Warrilow’s men ahead.
That meant Ashford would take a narrow lead heading into the break, in what was an end-to-end first-half affair.
Ashford would double their lead through Johan Ter Horst, nodding in the second of the game just a couple of minutes after being introduced as a substitute.
But The Blues would not lie down and halved the deficit just moments later through Kieran Rowe.
That sparked a quick-fire comeback for Haywards Heath, and six minutes later, Jordy Ndozid, from the centre of the penalty box, nestled an effort into the bottom right corner and out of Carey’s reach.
Matters went from bad to worse for the home side when Tom Cadman rifled a shot in at the near post to flip the game on its head.
Shaun Saunders’ team would become the first side to instruct defeat on Ashford on home soil in the league this season.
