After the 5-5 draw with South Park at Homelands, assistant manager Dan Scorer gave us his view on the match:
"Well it was certainly a game for the neutral and an entertaining encounter between two free flowing sides.
Whilst there were plenty of positives, there are many lessons to be learnt from this talented group. Barry and I have been working hard to encourage them to play with a bit more composure and they showed it in short spells. Some of the chances we created and indeed a couple of the goals came from a more patient approach, which is credit to the boys. However, the naivety on the ball in certain areas ultimately cost us a win.
This is first and foremost a development side and we will continue to work hard and progress as a group.
We have a number of players that in our opinion are capable of stepping up and providing more than adequate cover for the 1st Team. Those players have to use this opportunity to build their confidence and learn their trade at a decent, competitive level.
Hopefully we’ll see a few more faces in and around the 1st team set up in the next few months."
