GARY LOCKYER DEPARTS ASHFORD UNITED

Ashford United can announce the departure of Gary Lockyer this morning after the 29-year old striker made the decision to leave the club.

Formerly of Kennington, Lockyer is set to join a team in a higher division and Tommy Warrilow has reluctantly accepted this decision.

The Ashford man made 51 appearances as a Nut & Bolt, scoring 26 goals for the club and winning our Player of the Month Award on two occasions last season. He also won our Golden Boot Award for the 2021/22 campaign.

Everybody at the club would like to thank Gary for all of his efforts at Ashford United and we wish him well for the future.
